Tokyo and Taipei, August 16, 2004 - JCB, the leading international
payment brand, and AnShin Card Services Co., Ltd., one of the top
Taiwanese credit card companies, are pleased to announce that AnShin
Card Services has begun issuing JCB branded credit cards in Taiwan.
The launch of the new AnShin MMA Eastern Home
Shopping Network JCB Platinum Card was realized in cooperation
with Eastern Home Shopping Network Company Limited, a major Taiwanese
TV shopping company.
The issuing license agreement between JCB International (JCBI)
and AnShin Card Services was signed on April 29, 2004. The new AnShin
MMA Eastern Home Shopping Network JCB Platinum card is the first
credit card in AnShin Card Service's portfolio to carry the JCB
brand.

AnShin MMA Eastern Home Shopping Network
JCB Platinum cardmembers will enjoy a waiver of annual fees
for the first year, a special introductory interest rate, exclusive
discount pricing, cash back premiums and other benefits available
at Eastern Home Shopping Network's TV shopping. Also, the card gives
cardmembers access to AnShin Card Services' MMA (Money Management
AccountR) financial technology that offers time-sensitive, user-specific
flexibility in investment options.

JCB expects AnShin Card Services to issue more than 150,000 cards
in the first year.

issuing JCB credit cards in Taiwan in 1994, a significant milestone
in its long-standing commitment to Taiwan and the Asian market.
The launch of the AnShin MMA Eastern Home Shopping Network card
is another major step forward for JCB's presence in Taiwan.
