( Tokyo , February 13, 2007)- JCB, a major global payment brand, and JCB International, JCB's international subsidiary, announced the signing of an agreement with China Everbright Bank (CEB), one of the major commercial banks in China for issuing JCB brand cards in China . CEB began offering international branded JCB・CEB 'Trends COSMOPOLITAN Card' and CEB 'Trends Esquire Card' on February 12, in cooperation with Trends Group, a major fashion magazine publisher in China . The agreement with CEB is JCB's third card issuing alliance in the region.

JCB and JCB International have been expanding the acceptance network in China in cooperation with major local banks and financial institutions since 1982, right after the launch of JCB's overseas operation as a global payment brand. While in the past the purpose of expanding the JCB brand network in China was mainly to enhance acceptance for JCB cardmembers traveling from Japan and other Asian countries, the rapid growth in the Chinese economy has driven demand for international credit card issuing, making the country one of the most important markets for JCB issuing.

The cards are separately designed for men and women. The CEB 'Trends COSMOPOLITAN Card' for women and the CEB 'Trends Esquire Card' for men offer cardmembers the international acceptance of the JCB global payment brand, credit card services provided by CEB, and other unique and attractive services provided by Trends Group targeting fashion and trend-conscious young Chinese consumers. The CEB 'Trends Esquire Card' is the first international credit card of its type for men in China .
